An Ode To Tumblr In The Style Of Billy Joel’s “We Didn’t Start The Fire”

This Exists... Because of A Lady

This lady really loves Tumblr. She loves tumblr so much she wrote a song about it. And it just so happens to be set to the Billy Joel song, “We Didn’t Start The Fire.” Her version is titled, “I Live Life on Tumblr” and it pretty much nails our usage of the website. The vocals are a little tough to hear so to help you out we’ve posted the lyrics under the cut. Because let’s face it – after all these years, you still don’t have the original song memorized.

Hey, I just met you… and this is crazy. But here’s my number, so call me maybe?

Her tumblr is BatmanSymbol so…awesome, and is under the name 0nlyHands on Youtube. She wrote that she originally planned to set the whole thing to images from the lyrics but didn’t have editing software anymore. If you do, feel free to give it a shot.
