Since we live in the future now, it seems only right to report that there are some folks in Japan who are hoping to figure out how to get a Gundam to walk. But this isn’t just any small-scale Gundam, oh no. Built by the folks behind the Gundam Global Challenge, this one stands tall at a 1:1 scale. You can check it out in the video above.

As of right now, the ginormous Gundam can only move its head. You know, so it could look down on the puny mortals it’s sure to crush underfoot once we foolishly give it the gift of mobility. The sheer size of this thing is staggering, and honestly, stands as a bit of a testament to the creativity and determination of some die-hard fans.

Imagine capturing the imagination of so many people, and having them show their adoration in such a major production. Gundam, that’s intense.

No? Okay. I’ll see myself out.
