Woman Attends Baby Shower of a Woman She Befriended at Her Daughter’s Dance Class, Then Learns Her Husband is the Father
Are people getting too comfortable with cheating these days?
What happens when the woman you’ve been giving relationship advice to turns out to be your own husband’s mistress? Jess Jones (@jlo_or_jess), in a TikTok video, highlights how a woman she unknowingly became friends with invited her to her baby shower, only for her to realize that the child was her husband’s.
To make matters worse, the mother-in-law was aware of everything from the start and was there at the shower when Jones arrived. Jones recalls that seeing her made her mother-in-law’s face turn pale with shock.
Her husband, on the other hand, urged her to go to the baby shower when she initially expressed reluctance. “The morning of, I remember telling my husband that I really didn’t feel like going to this baby shower today. And this man. This man looked me dead in my face and said, no, you should go. You already told her that you’re going.”
“The side piece always knows”
Jones said she had been talking to a woman named Kayla (a made-up name to maintain secrecy) outside her daughter’s dance class, as Kayla’s daughter also attended the same class. She said she had struck up a friendship with her, but it wasn’t too intense, like visiting each other’s houses. However, their relationship gradually strengthened, and they began having more personal discussions.
Jones said that at one point in their three-month-long friendship, Kayla spoke about a man she was seeing. She said that although Kayla did not want to admit the man was still married, Jones allegedly figured it out based on the information she provided. However, she still didn’t realize it was her own husband. This was especially because Kayla referred to him as Marcus, which was Jones’ husband’s middle name, a name that basically no one used.
When Jones learned about Kayla’s pregnancy, she tried to warn her. Kayla, however, insisted the married man planned to divorce his wife, that his family knew, and that his mother was happy about it. Well, the rest is history.
Many commented on Jones’ post, sharing their thoughts on the incident. Some people suggested that Kayla knew about Jones being the wife of the man she was seeing. One user wrote, “The side piece always knows exactly who the wife is. Trust.” Another user wrote, “I think this woman knew who you was and stalked you and she brought you to the baby shower to expose your husband to make him confessed.”
Unfortunately, stories like this are quite common nowadays, such as a case where a British woman was dating someone from another county and discovered he was married.
In part 2 of her story, Jones said she approached her mother-in-law at the baby shower. When Jones allegedly asked why she was there, her mother-in-law said she knew Kayla. However, when Kayla arrived, she introduced Jones’ mother-in-law as her own.
It goes without saying that Jones’ mother-in-law’s lies were exposed. Jones and Kayla then started talking, and the truth came out after they shared the full name of the person Jones was married to and Kayla was dating, which was obviously the same. Now that they both know what happened, perhaps they should plan some sort of revenge, like this New York woman did when she found that her boyfriend was cheating.
