Having someone at “hello” is an occurrence straight out of a rom-com that usually rarely involves parents. For this pizza delivery driver, a male customer’s daughters had him instantly captivated the moment he saw them and made it known to the father.

What Happened During This Delivery?

South Jersey pizza delivery driver and D1 baseball player Dante Edwardi (@danteedwardi) recalls this to over 490,000 viewers.

“I just delivered pizzas to this house,” he says, scooting inside his car, cracking up laughing. “When I gave them the pizzas, they gave me a really good tip.”

The first time he sat in his car, it dawned on him that he failed to mention how attractive the daughters were. Noticing the parents sitting on the deck, he mustered the courage to voice his candid opinion.

“‘Sir, this is mad random, but are your daughters single?’” he remembers asking the father.

According to the father, the attraction was mutual.

“‘Yeah, they are. They’re talking about you,’” the content creator recounts the father replying. Then, Edwardi seized his opportunity. “‘Tell them my name, tell them to hit me straight up.’”

Viewers Are Rooting For Him

In the comments section, the majority of viewers were cheering Edwardi in more ways than one.

“And you know what, you miss 100% opportunities you don’t take,” one viewer remarked.

“Shoot that shot buddy!! Hahaha,” a second echoed.

“As a mom, I love that you asked the dad. Kinda noble in today’s society,” a third praised.

“This is how you have to do it, not through social media!” a fourth applauded.

“This is why pizza delivery is a peak side hustle,” a user said.

How Often Do Delivery Drivers Flirt with Customers?

Typically, delivery drivers just drop off the customer’s food, collect their tip, and head to their next destination. However, there have been times when sparks began to fly between them and the customer. And it happens more often than you may realize. A Circuit survey reported by the New York Post revealed that 27% of drivers engaged in not-so-proper conversations with customers. But there’s more: The outlet shared that a quarter of drivers have even slept with someone on the job.

While these instances may be harmless, like in Edwardi’s situation, food delivery interactions have sometimes gone sideways, and some have even strayed into dangerous territory. Last September, one woman was terrified after her pizza delivery driver suddenly kept bombarding her with unwanted messages. The following month, another woman shared how her Uber Eats driver forcibly hugged her and cornered her in the hotel elevator.
