A woman’s alleged request for a neighbor’s Disney+ password reportedly spiraled into a dispute involving trespassing accusations after the neighbor allegedly wanted to watch a documentary featuring actor Tom Hiddleston, according to a Reddit post shared in r/EntitledPeople. The post, written by Reddit user Gymtrio2025, described an encounter between the user’s 15-year-old daughter and their next-door neighbor, who allegedly asked for access to the family’s streaming account before the situation escalated.
The Reddit user claimed the neighbor approached the teenager while she was outside with the family dogs and asked for access to the family’s Disney+ account. According to the post, the neighbor asked, “Does your family have Disney+? There’s a show I was wanting to see but missed it last night because I don’t get the channel and heard it’s available on Disney+. Can you give me your login info, please?”
The teenager allegedly declined to share the account information. The Reddit user said the neighbor responded, “It’s not like your mom would notice.”
The teen girl reportedly stood her ground
According to the post, the daughter continued refusing, and the neighbor became upset before leaving the area. The Reddit user claimed the neighbor then stepped in dog waste that the teenager planned to clean up and reacted angrily. The parent wrote that their response, if confronted, would be: “buy your own subscription to Disney+ and I’m not paying for any new shoes.”
The Reddit user later provided an update claiming the teenager contacted police after the incident. The post alleged officers charged the neighbor with second-degree trespassing, communicating a threat and computer trespass. The Reddit poster did not provide a police report, case number or court records confirming those allegations.
The Reddit user said the neighbor’s sister, who allegedly attends a cycling class with the poster, told them she was not defending her sibling’s actions. A follow-up update claimed the neighbor wanted to watch a Tom Hiddleston documentary series available through Disney+. Her sister user said the woman had a major crush on Hiddleston and speculated that this may have been the reason she wanted to watch the documentary.
The series referenced in the post is likely Pompeii: The New Dig, a three-part documentary that follows an investigation into the ancient Roman city of Pompeii. Hiddleston narrates the series, which explores archaeological discoveries and the history surrounding the city’s destruction.
Disney+ does not allow users to share account credentials outside permitted household use under its subscriber agreement.
