TikTok user @jm.bakered uploaded a video to her account recounting a specific experience with a man she started seeing shortly after moving to Las Vegas at age 22. Jess mentioned in the video that she was fresh out of college when she made the move. She said that, given her age and her being in a new city, she was very excited to explore the dating scene and had signed up for several dating sites.

While Jess was signed up on multiple dating sites, in Las Vegas, she says she met John on Hinge about two weeks after she moved there, in her TikTok video. She mentioned that despite having a video of him juggling on his profile, she still matched with him. She also said that on the same day they matched, they FaceTimed, and John invited her to his house, which Jess accepted.

Talking about her experience, Jess said she had a fun time with John at his house and ended up spending the night there. She also said that she believed they really clicked. She mentioned that after hanging out with John the first time, she gradually started spending more time with him. She confessed that she enjoyed his company and liked him, but noticed one thing that was a bit concerning, which was that John had a phobia of hair.

Jess revealed that one time, after spending a day with John, she returned home to find her house had been broken into and trashed. She said she called John afterward, and he supported her during the ordeal. Jess added that she and John grew “extremely close” and that she started realizing she really liked him. She noted that she had hinted several times about wanting a relationship, but each time, he shot her down.

Jess then described a specific incident that many in the comments section of her post considered off-putting. She said that during one of their hangouts, while lying on the bed, John suddenly asked her what she thought about cutting all her hair off. She said John pressed her further, asking her for her views on cutting her hair very short and thinning it out, but not going bald. Jess mentioned that at one point, John told her she had a phobia of hair and of women who were bald.

She then said that when they discussed her hair, she told him she wouldn’t be cutting or thinning it for him. Following that, John reportedly said he wouldn’t date her because she wasn’t “long-term relationship material.” When Jess allegedly asked if it was because she refused to cut her hair, John supposedly explained it wasn’t the only reason. Jess mentioned that he also said he didn’t like women with blue eyes (Jess’s eyes were blue), that he hadn’t made a million dollars yet, and that he wasn’t ready for a long-term commitment.

Jess mentioned that after the conversation surrounding her hair, she suggested that she and John keep seeing each other. She revealed that just a day after having the discussion, John met her and her mother for dinner and praised her. Later, he apparently asked Jess again if she was willing to cut her hair, and she said no.

A few days later, Jess says that she was nearly at John’s place, about two minutes away, when he called and told her not to come. When she asked why, he allegedly said he had started dating someone that day. Frustrated, Jess supposedly said, “You what? You have spent every day over the last two or three weeks with me, and you are dating somebody else after telling me that you’re not ready for a relationship?” Jess said she allegedly asked John how long the girl’s hair was, and he reportedly said it was “down to her butt.”

In her closing remarks, Jess mentioned that the only reason John dated the girl was that she had told him she wouldn’t sleep with him unless they were dating. She also said that after John broke up with her, he reached out via DMs, and when she saw his profile picture, she noticed he was bald.
