Tickets went on sale for award-winning International K-pop band Stray Kids. The sale, which sold out in minutes, will likely precede new dates in North America later this year, or that is what their passionate fan base, known as Stays, are hoping.

The tour, new single “Run It”, and tour, and comeback are shortly after they had a history making headliner set at the Governor’s Ball 2026 in Flushing Meadow. This set marked a triumphant moment in the band’s career, minus one of their members, Seungmin, 25, who was unable to perform or attend due to injury.

The remaining seven (Bang Chan, 28, Lee Know, 27, Changbin, 26, Hyunjin, 26, Han, 25, Felix, 25, and I.N, 25) gave a rousing, vibrant performance that rocked the crowd despite a bit of weather drama. Flash flood warnings forced the group to move their Gov Ball performance up by 5 hours, causing many attendees to rush and, in some cases, miss the set entirely. And words cannot express what they missed.

The power of Stray Kids

Although Stray Kids is an undeniable K-pop band with a strong contingent of younger fans, they do set themselves apart by whom supports them and what they produce, and the crowd at Governor’s Ball was testament to this. They debuted a fresh headliner-worthy visual package that enhanced their precise movements and soulful harmonies. They breezed through an abbreviated set of their most beloved hits just minutes before the torrential downpour began. Leaving the crowd breathless, satisfied, and rushing for exits. And that crowd spanned the generations between pre-teens and 30 something professionals middle aged moms and dads. n

Debuting 8ish years ago on a Korean survival show, they have become one of the most successful K-pop bands on the planet. Undeniably the most successful K-pop band of the fourth generation, a top 5 global K-pop artist, eclipsed only by BTS and Blackpink, they are set for an impressive 2026. A fact their fans have been anxiously anticipating since their yearly preview announcement in January. While in New York at Gov Ball, I took the time to chat with the very diverse group of fans who call themselves. Trying to reach as many demographics as possible I asked attendees why they were Stray Kids fans and what hooked them.

Love them, but I like to think of it as patronage. I am too old to think this is romantic love. I tell people I support 8 Korean boys with funding. They are very well funded – Jaysee, 42

I am here with my daughter; I get to be a cool mom, and I hear a band whose songs I really like. Chk Chk Boom is my fav. – Deina, 48

Honestly, I don’t remember; I just remember thinking it all escalated very quickly. One day I didn’t know they existed; the next, I knew all their ages and MBTI types. – Aubrey, 20

I am here for my best friend; she wants to marry one of them, I am sure, and I am an ally to her delusion. – Tonya, 31
