Man Who Constantly Misses the Point Thinks Sinners Was About “Killing White People.” It’s About Vampires, Jack.

So, another day has come when a prominent conservative critic has missed the point of Sinners entirely.

Jack Posobiec took to social media to air a grievance this week. And, we’re talking about Ryan Coogler’s landmark film for some reason? Yeah, it’s time to discuss how Sinners allegedly is “about killing white people.” How do people come up with this stuff?

Sinners is a movie about killing white people and has the all-time record for Oscar nominations of any film in history,” the pundit wrote. “Yet Citizen Vigilante was banned.”

Confession time over here, I didn’t even know what Citizen Vigilante was before beginning this piece. For those of you like me, let me fill you in. Uwe Boll directed a movie this year. It’s about an American vigilante living in Croatia. He becomes a hero to the people because of social media.

Also, he’s played by Armie Hammer? Anyway, the three critic reviews on this film say that it fits into a lot of Uwe Boll’s filmography. So, not a ton of mileage to be gotten out of this one. It’s probably cleaning up on the digital downloads because of the right wing ecosystem.

There’s just a lot to unpack here. Apparently, the film argues that Islam is to blame for violent crime and sex trafficking? Wild stuff to be put in a film at any point. And, Elon Musk is involved in this somehow? A strange moment of association for everyone involved!

Seriously, last year was a fun time at the movies. But, bringing up Sinners like this unprompted is a strange move. One that only really makes sense if you’ve been mainlining the worst of what social media has to offer.

In honesty, Sinners actually has some sympathy toward Remmick, in a way. He and the other white vampires that end up in the thrall and ringshout during the film are victims in their own way.

One could interpret Coogler’s film as a commentary on the way Irish identities were subsumed into “mainstream culture” and now suffer under the weight of it like the diverse people taken into vampirism at the juke joint.

This is just the latest example of a conservative pundit knowing that there’s something going on with race in Sinners. But, they can’t seem to bring themselves to connect the dots that a current culture is doing harm to white people too. And, it has nothing to do with immigrants. After all, a lot of those Irish, Italian, and European Americans once hailed from their own motherlands.

Nope! Just easier to say the movie is saying things that it clearly has no interest in. Smoke put a lot of Black vampires down that fateful night. Including his wife, to be clear! And, he would have left those businessmen (Klansmen) to their own devices if they hadn’t targeted the barn where his brother was hiding out.

Why was Citizen Vigilante Banned?

German authorities banned the film because of fears it would incite violence against immigrants. It’s worth noting the country has hate speech protections the United States can only dream of. Director Uwe Boll tried to stand up for himself in The Daily Telegraph.

“The rating system refused to give us a rating [in Germany], so now you can only watch it if you bring in a Blu-ray from Austria or Switzerland,” Boll told the press. “And I think they did that on purpose. It was a deliberate censorship decision. I hired a lawyer to complain about it, but we lost in a six-two vote as I was told that the film was inciting violence against migrants.”

Boll got asked directly by The Telegraph if he was a Nazi. He said, “I am not a Nazi!” Well, at least clears it up, I think?
