Texas Man Heard a Shriek in the Night. Then, a Goat Man Started Chasing Him 'It Was Not Human.'

A Texas farmer’s story might just send the cryptids in Appalachia hiding in fear. It all started with an inhuman scream. A few nights later, he was being chased by a “goat.”

The farmer reached out to Mikey Grimm (@mikeygrimm13) on TikTok, who shared his terrific encounter with a goat-like figure. Having spent a lot of time with animals, the farmer knew when something was wrong with his livestock.

He started hearing panicked noises from his animals one night, so he threw on his boots and grabbed a flashlight to check. When he stepped onto his porch, his suspicions were confirmed.

Something was amiss—the property fell dead silent. And then, he heard a scream from the pastures. Without thinking twice, he jumped into his truck to follow the source of the noise. When he reached the fenceline, the light illuminated three of his animals.

One was dead, torn apart on the ground. Two were badly injured. What disturbed the farmer was a lack of bite patterns—the animals were just deeply wounded, and their blood was smeared where the light reached. Although it was a grizzly sight, it’s common for predators to hunt farm animals. The farmer assumed that a mountain lion or a bigger predator attacked.

But then it happened again, and again, and again. At this point, the same thing had been happening for several nights, between 2:00 and 4:00 a.m. He would hear the same, shrill scream from his panicked animals. Then, he would hear their panic. Once he arrives at the scene of the crime, he’ll find an animal injured or dead.

It was not a mountain lion

One night, he decided that he’d had enough. So, he loaded his gun, parked his truck near the pasture, shut off his engine, and then did a stakeout to see what exactly was attacking his animals.

By midnight, everything seemed normal. He spent a few hours there, waiting—eventually, he thought he was sitting there, wasting his time. But by 2:30, every animal froze. Each of them started staring at the treeline and did not move.

Then, the farmer heard an unfamiliar growl. A figure stepped out of the trees and into the moonlight.

“That’s when he realized that it was not human,” Grimm commented.

The goat runs after the car

The creature stood on two legs and was at least nine feet tall—maybe even taller. Its shoulders were broad and its upper body seemed extremely muscular. The farmer recalled the creature’s head to be a twisted mixture of man and goat, with massive horns at the side of its head.

It stood there, staring at the farmer. Then, it dropped on all fours—that’s when the farmer realized how big the creature was. It was now charging directly to his vehicle. That’s when the farmer turned the key, stepped on the gas, and drove as fast as he could.

But the creature was inhumanely fast, and it was still chasing his car. From his rearview mirror, he could see the goat man move with such incredible speed. A haunting sight he would never forget was when the goat man stood up mid-chase and started running with its two hindlegs.

The goat man struck the side of his truck with its shoulder. It was so strong, it pushed the tires sideways.

Strangely enough, the goat man stopped chasing his car and leapt to the empty field. The farmer got home and locked every single room that night. The next day, he saw large hoof tracks and a large dent on his truck. Since the incident, the farmer hadn’t sat near the fenceline since. Whatever the creature was, it wasn’t just set on hunting the livestock down.
