People Magazine also wrote, ‘Jacob Elordi Steps Down from Cannes Film Festival Jury After Breaking Foot.’ The last one is a bit more on the nose, but the puns about Elordi’s broken foot just wouldn’t stop coming.

They don’t make headlines the way they used to

Social media has been in a frenzy because of the headlines. In a world filled with headlines made to please the algorithm gods, people are on the lookout for genuine creativity and wit. As a result, several social media users had been sharing their favorite headlines through the years. One creative headline from The New York Times says, ‘When an Eel Climbs a Ramp to Eat Squid From a Clamp, That’s a Moray.’

Needless to say, that’s not the most AI-friendly headline out there. It’s risky to come up with these headlines because they might rank lower in searches. Once in a while, there will be headline gems—like in this case with Jacob Elordi’s snafu. But it almost always is a risk worth taking, especially since most people are trying to get at least a whiff of human creativity out in the wide net.

Kendall Jenner seems to be the reason why Jacob Elordi is skipping the festival. TMZ snapped a photo of the pair a week ago hanging out in Hawaii, and it upset many fans online.

Many are judging Elordi’s priorities, calling the affair “career-ending.” Overall, there appears to be confusion on why he would choose to hang out with his girlfriend over becoming a juror at Cannes. To be chosen as a judge in the Cannes Film Festival is both an honor and a recognition of talent. Even then, a lot of luck goes into the selection process.

But it doesn’t matter how Jacob Elordi chooses to spend his time. The headlines about his foot make an infinitely more interesting story than his alleged getaway with Kendall Jenner.
