You’re Invited to Check Out Zendaya and Robert Pattinson’s Wedding Website! For ‘The Drama,’ That Is

The marketing campaign for A24’s The Drama just got even more real. On Saturday, which just so happens to be Valentine’s Day, A24 launched an official wedding website for Emma Harwood (Zendaya) and Charlie Thompson (Robert Pattinson), the couple at the center of the fictional events of The Drama.

This in-universe website continues a pretty clever marketing trend for the movie, after the studio already printed a fake wedding announcement for Emma and Charlie in the Boston Globe. The website is a pretty thorough approximation of real-life wedding websites, with photos of the couple and relevant information for the nuptials. There’s even a list of recommended things to do while in town for the wedding in Boston, with a few bookstores that I will definitely be adding to my list next time I’m there.

The FAQs hint at the wedding being adult-only and a phone-free weekend, and that the dress code is “Dress to impress,” with Pattinson’s Charlie “breaking in new shoes as we speak.” While certain details are still to be decided, mainly the menu (“We’ve got one more tasting to get through first (tough job, but someone’s gotta do it),” the website teases a fun and worthwhile weekend for the guests. Whether or not it stays that way will remain to be seen, especially depending on what the twist of The Drama ultimately ends up being.

“Charlie first spotted Emma at a coffee shop one fall afternoon and somehow worked up the nerve to say hello,” the ‘Our Story’ section of the website reads. “What started out as a bit of a trainwreck ended with them exchanging numbers—which soon led to three hour phone calls about everything and nothing, lazy Sundays camped out in parks and bookstores, and late-night diner runs where Emma ordered burgers so rare they were practically mooing. Two years of laughing until their ribs hurt later, and they’re ready to make it official. Come celebrate their next chapter.”

So, What Is The Drama About?

In The Drama, days before their wedding, a couple’s relationship is shaken when one partner discovers unsettling truths about the other. Also starring Mamoudou Athie, Alana Haim, Hailey Gates, and Zoë Winters, the film is directed by Dream Scenario‘s Kristoffer Borgli, and counts Ari Aster among its executive producers.

This will mark the first of several collaborations between Zendaya and Pattinson set to hit the screen in the near future, as they will both be seen in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey in the summer of this year, as well as Dune: Messiah, which is currently scheduled to be released in December.

“We had a scene together that was driving me crazy,” Pattinson previously told Premiere of his experience filming The Drama. “I was desperately looking for its meaning, writing pages and pages of textual analysis. I ended up calling Zendaya the night before shooting the scene. I shared my doubts with her, I spoke for two hours, and after a while, very calmly, she made me understand that the line just said what it meant to say, that there was no hidden meaning.”

The Drama is set to be released exclusively in theaters on April 3rd.
