Things We Saw Today: Anthony Mackie Will Return in Captain America 4 After Signing Deal With Marvel/Disney

Recommended Videos

It appears that Anthony Mackie will be returning as Sam Wilson in Captain America 4, his first Marvel movie as the titular lead superhero.

Deadline reports in an exclusive that Mackie has closed a deal with Disney/Marvel to headline his own Cap film. We don’t really have a lot of details on the movie, but we assume that it could also include Sebastian Stan’s character Bucky Barnes.

Captain America 4 is being written by The Falcon and the Winter Soldier head writer and creator Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson, who also wrote for TFaTWS.

A director has not yet been named for Mackie’s film, but I’m looking forward to seeing how it all comes together. Mackie has earned his place in the MCU and I’m glad that Phase 4 will be starring him and Sam.

Get your money Black man.
