Fans of Netflix’s fun, feminist adaptation of classic Filmation heroine She-Ra won’t have long to wait for season two. During a WonderCon panel for the series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, creator Noelle Stevenson announced that She-Ra would return on April 26th. She also premiered the trailer for the new season, which shows tensions rising in the kingdom of Etheria.

The new season will see princesses Adora (Aimee Carrero), Glimmer (Karen Fukuhara), Perfuma (Genesis Rodriguez) and Mermista (Vella Lovell) go up against the Horde, lead by Adora’s former BFF Catra (AJ Michalka). Stevenson also discussed her love of Dungeons & Dragons, revealing which class she thought each character would embody.

“According to the showrunner, Adora is a fighter while She-Ra is a paladin — specifically, one who would use fancy dice that roll badly. Additionally: Catra is a rogue, Scorpia is a fighter or barbarian, Frosta is also a barbarian, Bow is “half-ranger, half-bard … like a ranger that took classes in bard” and Glimmer, of course, is a sorcerer.”

Clearly there is no shortage of nerdy women behind the helm of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, a quality that makes the series a delight for fans young and old. Are you a She-Ra fan? Are you excited for Season two?
