Chris Evans in Captain America: Civil War (2016)

Give Me This Chris Evans/Betty White Buddy Cop Movie Now

OR PUT THEM ON BROOKLYN 99. I DON'T CARE JUST GIMME!

What if Chris Evans were the good cop to Betty White’s bad cop? Imagine, if you will, the two driving around in their cop car, Betty with a cigarette hanging out of her mouth while Evans has, like, a kale salad.

Maybe I’m just picturing the two in an episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, where they work in another precinct and have to team up with the Nine-Nine to solve a case.

Whatever it is, we were given the idea of Evans and White as a buddy cop duo, and now I want that in my life, and I want it now. For her 97th birthday, many fans took to Twitter to talk about White for the day, which means being reminded that there is a pure and wholesome picture out there of Chris Evans helping Betty White to the stage of an award show.

So obviously, we all instantly wanted this movie to be greenlit and in production. It’s not like this would be the first time a heroic Twitter user spurred the internet to will a movie into existence based solely on a single image.

It only got better when Chris Evans saw the tweet. He only had one condition:

Let’s think of this movie for a second. They catch the perp, the two have to interrogate him, and they trick the suspect into believing that Betty is playing the role of Good Cop. Then little Betty White slams her hands on the table and he instantly confesses. A classic!

While we wait for the movie to be made—because come on, we have to get this movie now—we can just continue to bask in the glow of Betty White and all her work!

… And then there’s Ryan Reynolds.

One thing is clear: Betty White is one incredible woman, and we’re lucky to be on the planet with this living legend. She’s fun, vibrant, and one of the greatest comedians alive. So, why wouldn’t we want to see her tag-team a cop movie with Captain America? It’d be an epic film—Oscar-winning, even.

Happy birthday, Betty. We can’t wait to see what you do next.
