Human Trash Fire Eric Trump Says If You Don’t Support His Father, You’re “Not Even Human”

What a deplorable.

Remember when Hillary Clinton called Trump supporters “deplorables,” and they all claimed to have such hurt feelings, put the term on t-shirts, and said it was proof that Hillary hated half the country? Never mind the fact, I suppose, that she very clearly wasn’t talking about half of the country, but of the exaggerated half of Trump supporters “racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic—you name it.” Republicans latched onto that moment and basically yelled, “hey I might be racist and sexist and all that, but I’m still human!”

According to Eric Trump, that humanity isn’t extended to the rest of us now. In that video above, he says he’s “never seen hatred like this.” Talking about those who oppose his father’s administration, he says, “To me, they’re not even people.”

Yup, the guy who poses for pictures with severed elephant tails and slaughtered cheetahs and other big game animals (and who, let’s be honest, definitely looks like he’d be down to hunt a human if he ever got the chance—the deadliest game!) is saying we’re “not even people.”

The man who, it was revealed this week, funneled money out of a charity for children with cancer and into his father’s businesses, is saying Democrats and others who oppose Trump aren’t people. According to a Washington Post investigation, Eric Trump appears to have let his father bully him into paying hundreds of thousands of dollars to host a charity golf tournament at his own golf course.

Trump Sr. also diverted $500,000 from the Eric Trump Foundation that was supposed to go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, to other charities, “many of which were personal favorites of Trump family members and several of which had nothing to do with children’s cancer—but happened to become clients of Trump’s golf courses.”

And that seems almost ethical compared to what Donald Trump—the man Eric is defending—did with the money from his own charity. (Just to name a few things he used Donald J. Trump Foundation money for: settling lawsuits against his for-profit businesses, donating to campaigns of politicians on the verge of investigating his businesses, and buying $20,000 six-foot-tall paintings of himself.)

But sure, Eric Trump says we’re “so, so sad.” According to him, “Morality’s just gone, morals have flown out the window and we deserve so much better than this as a country.” Well, that’s one thing we definitely agree on, although I think we have different ideas of what that “this” is.
