Leave it to Batman to do the right thing in Gotham and the outside world. Stephen Colbert recently had the LEGO Batman on his show, and began with observations about how tall Arnett is and how the two had joked about a presidential bid. “At the time, we didn’t realize how easy, how low the threshold was!” laments Arnett, as they take some thinly veiled shots at a certain someone.
The actor then goes on to talk about attending the Women’s March in London, which he calls a “life changing experience.”
That was a really special day, the Women’s March was incredible and I said this before: the greatest part for me was getting a text from my mom and her saying how proud she was and that meant a lot to me. I have a lot of important women in my life including my mom and my sisters, and my position is I’ll be damned if they’re treated like second class citizens.
In another clip, the two swap stories about their kids. If you’ve seen The LEGO Batman Movie, you might remember a certain pack of orphans who love Batman. Will Arnett, who voices the moody hero, went on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert to talk about the film, and how his sons ended up on the mic because, he says, “You guys might be orphans one day.” Classic Bat dad.
At the end, Colbert busts out a few LEGO figures and do a second interview, this time with LEGO Batman who is apparently a huge prankster. This ends, of course, in a heavy LEGO makeout.
