It’s a Thanksgiving weekend miracle! Just in time for your long weekend, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life is up on Netflix for your viewing pleasure. For those of you who have already watched the four-part series, strap in and get to talking and pop culture reference-dropping. For those of you who haven’t yet seen this thing, get out of town, because SPOILERS.
Confession time: I haven’t actually watched this show yet, because I’ve been too busy hanging out with my family and, y’know, working. I’m writing this post instead of watching Gilmore Girls, folks. These are the real sacrifices!!! But I will say that I’ve spent the past few months watching every single episode of Gilmore Girls, and I just finished up season 7 last week, so I’m 100% charged and ready to plunge back into the cozy comforts of Stars Hollow.
Before writing this post, I watched the first few minutes of the very first revival episode, and it already feels like a warm blanket of perfection to me. That’s how I took that screenshot up at the top of this post. What happens after that beautiful opening snowfall? I don’t know. But I assume the rest of you have already finished watching the entire show, so I’m not going to look at any of these comments until after I’ve watched it all. Feel free to dish with one another about the last four words and spoil the heck out of this thing. You’ve all waited long enough for this moment; I’ll just have to wait a liiiittle bit longer.
