Long after the end of the Harry Potter films, Emma Watson is continuing with a tradition of magic all her own.

As part of the Books of the Underground program, she’s been leaving feminist books behind on London’s Underground public transit/rail system. The book, Mom & Me & Mom, a Maya Angelou classic, is the latest addition to the Our Shared Shelf online reading program/book club run by Watson. Every two months, a new feminist novel is added then discussed by those participating in the program, with the aim to spread not only awareness of these books but the issues presented within them.

Watson’s also added a hand-written note from herself which talks a bit about the book and what’s going on with it. It’s a bit like a treasure hunt, with the Books of the Underground Facebook and Twitter accounts tweeting a few of the 100 locations in which Watson’s hidden a book. If you’re looking to snag one yourself, it’s worth a shot checking out your local tube station (y’know, if you’re in London and all), but they’ve likely already been picked up by passersby.

All the same, the book is well worth checking out, even if you have to go to a book store or order it off of Amazon yourself.
