TMS at NYCC Day 3: Interviewing Illustrator Colleen Doran of Troll Bridge, Barbara Dunkelman of RWBY, Plus More Cosplays

Recommended Videos

It’s Sunday, which is the third day of New York Comic Con! In our latest video highlight reel, we’ve got TMSers Charline Jao and Keisha Hatchett exploring the con once again, conducting interviews with the creators in attendance at the con, and checking out the best cosplays on the show floor.

First up in this video, Charline Jao sits down with Colleen Doran, illustrator for a graphic novel adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s short fantasy story, Troll Bridge. She explains that she actually illustrated a different version of the story several years ago, but decided to completely rethink the lay-out for this final version, published by Dark Horse Comics.

Next up, Keisha interviews a standout star from the Rooster Teeth Productions catalog: it’s voice actress Barbara Dunkelman, who plays Yang Xiao Long RWBY, a 3D animated web series created by Monty Oum. Dunkelman also discussed her Rooster Teeth late-night talk show, “Always Open,” which is hosted by women (usually Dunkelman and her pals) and geared towards a female audience–and, y’know, anybody else who wants to check it out!

The video closes out with a brief montage of some of the really cool cosplays that The Mary Sue has gotten the chance to see on the show floor today. Enjoy!
