Complete Your Cat’s Little House on the Purr-airie Cosplay With This Cat Bonnet

Recommended Videos

Cat bonnets. Cat bonnets, cat bonnets, cat bonnets.

(I’m being told that I need more words for this post, so here you go.)

If you, like me, have fond memories of being (lovingly) forced to read and/or watch Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Little House on the Prairie, then this fabulous new toy from Archie McPhee is just for you. By you I mean your cat. By your cat I mean my cat. They’re mine now. I love them.

Seriously, though. This floral cotton bonnet comes from the same folks who brought you the Cat Unicorn Horn. And, just like the Cat Unicorn Horn, attempting to put it on your cat will likely result in some righteous scratches on your hands and arms. So, you know, proceed with caution and everything.

Listen, if you do end up getting this for your cat, do the world a favor and take a photo with it next to some Lincoln Log cabins or something. Or, better yet, put its paws on a butter churner. Or! Or. Or you can put it in a model covered wagon. A rocking chair with a quilt blanket? Riding astride a horse on an open field? Frolicking in a field of sunflowers? Rolling down a grass-covered hill with a dog as lighthearted, sugary theme music plays in the background?

Ugh, do something Western, please!
