Done they are.

And that is a wrap on Star Wars Episode VIII. My heart is brimming. #reyout

Filming on Star Wars: Episode VIII has come to a close, and Daisy Ridley commemorated the shoot on her Instagram yesterday with an intriguing pic of a lightsaber-wielding Rey. Naturally, the image and her caption “#ReyOut” have sparked a lot of debate: Is that an actual pic from Episode VIII, or a look back at The Force Awakens? What does “Rey Out” mean?? We won’t know for a long time, of course, so best to just learn to live in uncertainty.

Ridley’s co-star Mark Hamill also shared an Instagram pic (see below) of the wrap party, that, given his history of trolling fans, was surprisingly free of jokes about Rey’s parentage and/or Luke’s future in the franchisealthough of course I’m sure many fans will have theories about his “saying goodbye is hard” remark. Speaking of the wrap party, Daisy Ridley wore a very pretty dress to attend, and gave a shout-out to camera operators Dave and Gary (no, not that Gary).

Star Wars: Episode VIII comes to theaters Dec. 15, 2017, so we’ve got a lot of months of over-analyzing actors’ social media activity ahead of us yet. Better get used to it. This is the way we live now.

Ain’t no party like an Episode VIII party cause an Episode VIII party has spoilers.
