If you’re a Trek fan who’s sick of hearing about Star Wars, and who wants to focus on the upcoming holiday, the 366 Project is here for you. Of course, that’s a celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Star Trek — that’s the holiday you were thinking of, right?

While you bide your time waiting for the next Star Trek movie, or the next Star Trek TV series, or both of those things, you can enjoy a revisitation of photos of the original series, courtesy of Roddenberry Entertainment and EW. For every single day of the next year — hence the name 366 Project — the Roddenberry Entertainment Facebook page will reveal a never-before-seen photo from Trek‘s history.

EW has given us a peek at three of the photos to come, including a photo of an old storyboard, a glimpse at young Leonard Nimoy in the makeup chair, and a page featuring the first draft of Star Trek‘s well-known opening monologue. It’s the first draft, though, so it won’t read out the way you remember!

Even if you do have mixed feelings about the new Star Trek movie trailer (you wouldn’t be alone in feeling that way), perhaps this revisitation of the good ol’ days will be a palate cleanser. Or maybe it’ll help us all appreciate the new stuff even more?
