Wes Anderson’s New Stop-Motion Dog Movie Will Star Bryan Cranston, Jeff Goldblum, And More

Recommended Videos

Wes Anderson is going back to stop-motion for his new film about dogs. Indiewire broke the news, and pointed out the irony (or cause for concern?) of Wes Anderson making a film about dogs. His movies are pretty much all sadfaces on DoesTheDogDie.com. When asked about whether dogs dying in his films were “a thing”  his response was “[Laughs] I know we killed one in Royal Tenenbaums.” Dude, sound a bit less happy about it. Also, no, he does not own a dog.

Jeff Goldblum (who wacks a dog in The Life Aquatic) also revealed at his weekly jazz show that he, Bob Balaban, Edward Norton, and Bryan Cranston would be starring in the film as a pack of dogs, also adding that it would be “Japanese-inspired.” While there aren’t very many details about the plot as this point, that sounds like a stellar cast.

As incredibly concerned as I am for the dogs in this film, I really enjoyed Fantastic Mr. Fox so I’m looking forward to seeing how this turns out! How about you?
