Zack Synder Says Batman v Superman=Man of Steel 2

Zack Synder had a recent interview with Canoe, where he discussed whether we’ll see a solo sequel to Man of Steel. It doesn’t seem likely, though he calls it “interesting to think about.”

I think in a way Batman v Superman is Man of Steel 2Justice League is kind of the transcendent, knights-of-the-round-table of the story. It’d be interesting to think about what a standalone Superman movie might be.

He’s pumped about Batman v Superman though, and how they’ll set the stage for his upcoming Justice League films:

We really have to figure out the why of them, and I think that we have. That’s the one thing that’s cool to me about Batman v Superman, it’s all about the mythology of these two massive icons. And I think that’s compelling.

Snyder also comments on the superhero film genre, saying that “if you told me that I might make a Justice League movie, I wouldn’t think that was weird. But I don’t think I would realize what it meant to pop culture the way it has struck pop culture right now.”

How do you feel about not seeing a solo Man of Steel 2? Robbed? Relieved?
