Anne Hathaway Fights Aliens in The Shower

Not that kind of shower, you pervs!

There isn’t nearly enough sci-fi comedy. Well, now, Anne Hathaway is heading up a mostly-female cast in a new sci-fi comedy feature called The Shower, in which a meteor shower turns men into aliens while Hathaway and a group of women are at a baby shower. SO MANY SHOWERS!

The Shower was written by Jac Schaeffer, whose script made the Blacklist, an annual list of the best unproduced scripts being shopped around Hollywood. In it, the women left untransformed have to find a way to survive and save humanity. But the big question… will Anne Hathaway be fighting aliens while wearing ONE OF THESE? ‘Cause I’d pay good money to see that.

The film is being produced by Hathaway’s husband, Adam Schulman, along with Schaeffer, Andrew Lauren, and D.J. Gugenheim. It’s still at the very beginning stages, so there’s no director attached yet, no supporting cast, and no studio. But there IS a female-written sci-fi comedy being made starring a mostly-female cast, and that’s something to be excited about!

What do you think of the premise of The Shower, and which ladies might you like to see co-star with Hathaway? Let us know in the comments below!
