Gotham S2 Will Be All About The Joker; And Yes, We Probably Have Already Seen Him

Yeah, we figured.

Fans of the FOX show Gotham suspected this as soon as we saw him, but now the actor himself has darn near confirmed it! In an intriguing photo he posted on Instagram, Cameron Monaghan, whom we last saw in the S1 episode, “The Blind Fortune Teller,” as Jerome, seems to be telling the world that he is, indeed, The Joker.

Or, perhaps he’s related to The Joker in some way? No one has said anything outright, and this could all be a huge tease, but Gotham creator, Bruno Heller, told The Hollywood Reporter that there’s definitely at least a connection between the two characters:

We’re going to find out how the hell Jerome, the proto-Joker we met earlier in this season, connects with the Joker as people know him. That’s the big focus of the beginning of the second season. We’re going to tell the story of how the Joker came to be.

That story arc in and of itself is exciting enough! And I gotta say that with this face, if Monaghan is The Joker – awesome casting.
