Nick Tapalansky and Alex Eckman-Lawn are creating an all-ages comic for Th3rd World Studios called Thanatos Diver. It’s the JPRG, that isn’t really a JRPG, that you should be reading! Well, once it’s released anyway. Take a look at some exclusive promotional images the team has gifted us with.

And the official summary of Thanatos Diver #1:

Samantha is bored out of her skull. She lives on an island, her entire world is supposedly an ocean, and she’s explored just about every crusty corner of the sunken city that surrounds her home. She’d love to go out beyond the city, see if there really is nothing but endless water out there, maybe find her missing—

Whatever, she’s not allowed to go anywhere, okay? And she’s just about accepted a tedious, excitement-free life when a contest with a rival diver sends Samantha deep into the sunken city’s forbidden zone, where she finds way more adventure than she could have possibly imagined…

THANATOS DIVER is an exciting new all-ages series for fans of action, fantasy adventure, and humor. If you dig stories like Bone, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and The Legend of Zelda, THANATOS DIVER is ready for you!

We’ve also included a handy pre-order sheet in our gallery for your convenience (preorder cutoff is September 18th and it’s also available in black and white on the book’s website) and stay tuned next week for an interview with the creators.
