I love all of these, but when I got to Bowser I actually died. o_o

Super cute! Some of them are definitely more wearble than others, but I love the ideas and interpretations. And kudos to the artist for including girls of various sizes and races!

Most of them are okay, but the interpretation of Ryu looks like the potato sack that Lisa Simpson wore when she had head lice.

  • Nick Gaston

What, no Maniac Mansion tentacle-style frocks? For shame.

  • Scott Slemmons

Holy cow, that headcrab bag is awesome.

I’m shopping local seamstresses to get a jacket make to resemble the new Captain Marvel costume, because it rocks. It’s vaguely military, so it should be not too hard to come up with examples.

The Bowser outfit makes the model look like a character from the ’80′s TMNT cartoon.

I would wear the heck out of the Scorpion, Master Chief and Link outfits.

link outfit is the best hands down.

     My favorite one!

Agreed.  Though, I did like that Hadouken necklace.

I will admit to being more excited by the concept of a Ryu-inspired dress than the actual execution.  Gi tops wrap your torso.  Why not make it a wrap dress with a cute black belt?

Though now that its on my mind, I wonder what a whole line of Street Fighter-inspired fashions would look like?  TO MY IMAGINARIUM!

Looks like we need to start throwing money at Valve again!

I want to wear the Gordon Feeman outfit to a con.

I’d totally wear the Sora dress! That Link outfit is pretty awesome, too.

I want that halo jacket and those freeman jeans!! Though I found something in every outfit I liked.

  • William Adam McDuff

Hmm; the all in one page link doesn’t seem to be working for me.

  • Gregory Allen

The Scorpion outfit wouldn’t be unbelievable in New York, and I’ve dated too many girls that look like the Sonic one.

    THIS.

Maybe Scorpion, but the rest are strange.

Wait, so why are all of these outfits, all seemingly designed for women, inspired by male characters? Aside from the actual highly problematic lack of female gaming role models and playable characters; there are in fact quite a few female (or female-oriented non-human) characters that could have worked. Like even just one or two; so its not entirely a line up of female models dressed up as the males they see in video games…?

I guess I see how they “wanted to show how [they] would look as female fashion statements,” but it still just doesnt sit right with me.. and feels like it panders to whole misogynerd culture and ‘gamer girl’ stereotype, instead of actually pushing for any real change.
