Things We Saw Today: Doctor Who Pajamas

Wibbly-wobbly, comfy-womfy stuff. (by ThinkGeek, via Fashionably Geek)

  • There’s an island in Japan that’s home to 15 people and 100+ cats. According to Death and Taxes this “cat island” “isn’t host to any restaurants, hotels or any of the basic travel amenities and it’s only accessible by a daily ocean liner,” but I’m sure that’s not enough to stop many cat lovers.
  • Tom Hardy is set to star in Elton John biopic Rocketman. I love it. There’s nothing that brings me joy quite like casting that at first seems completely strange, but then when you think about it it’s like an angel came down from heaven and is sprinkling fairy dust on you. This definitely qualifies. (via Variety, thanks to tipster Tina)
  • This is not a drill: R.L. Stine is bringing back Fear Street. Even the news that the new series, hitting shelves in October 2014, will be called Party Games instead of Fear Street (eugh) can’t stop my inner child from freaking out. (The New York Times)
  • Here we have the first poster for Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur, coming out in November 2015. (/Film)

    FEAR STREET!!!!!!!!!!!!
    I don’t care what it’s called I’m just excited.

Having now read the article I think when it said “the “Fear Street” books will return in October 2014 with the title “Party Games.”” it meant the first book is going to be called Party Games, but the series will still be called Fear Street.

Regardless, I can only hope that the new series will bring attention to the old one, and the Fear Street Cheerleaders saga will finally be adapted into that teen slasher franchise I’ve been hoping for.
