  1. New Trailer for The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones Gives Us a Look at a Very Interesting Cast (Also, Magical Latte Art)

    Consider the Following

The new The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones trailer gives us a better idea of the plot of a new fantasy flick hitting theaters on August 21. In the film, Lily Collins plays Clary Fray, a young woman who discovers she is a half-angel and helps another "Shadowhunter," played by Jonathan Rhys Meyers, kill demons.  Among the other cast members are CCH Pounder, Lena Headey as Fray's mother, and Robert Sheehan as Fray's friend. So far, I'm assuming the movie involves a mostly invisible Henry VIII killing demons with the help of Snow White and a very confused, be-spectacled version of Nathan from Misfits, but I haven't read the bestselling series by Cassandra Clare that The Mortal Instruments is based on. While we don't get any Lena Headey, Queen of Westeros demon hunter like we did in the first trailer, there's certainly enough action, fantasy, and intrigue to grab my attention. Plus, after hearing her stance on hollywood whitewashing, I have high hopes for a movie adaptation of the works of Cassandra Clare. Take a look. 2. NBC’s Dracula Series Gets A Trailer, Is Inexplicably Odd

    Consider the Following

After watching this trailer for NBC's new Dracula series starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers, I can honestly say I have no idea what they're going for here. The trailer is, for lack of a better word, weird. Everything about it just feels...weird. And this is coming from a person who legitimately enjoyed Dracula 2000. It does have a few actors from other genre shows we enjoy though and it's set to air Friday nights this fall. Will you be watching? 3. A Campaign For Game of Thrones’ Catelyn Stark To Be The Next U.S. Secretary Of State

    You know nothing Jon Snow

Hillary Clinton has officially stepped down as America's Secretary of State and while former Sen. John Kerry has already been tapped as her replacement, a new contendor has entered the ring. Or should I say, game. See, someone has decided Lady Catelyn Stark (née Tully), Lady of Winterfell, would make a much better candidate. Find out why after the jump.

  4. Merlin and Game of Thrones Actors Join Arrow‘s Huntress on NBC’s Dracula

    Bloody Good Fun

We previously learned that Jessica De Gouw, aka Arrow's Huntress, would be playing Mina Murray to Jonathan Rhys Meyers' Drac (or Alan Grayson in the show, because Dracula is an awfully conspicuous name) in NBC's Victorian era-set Dracula. And now comes the news that the show's gotten even more genre-tastic with the addition of two new cast members: Katie McGrath and Nonso Anozie. Or Morgana from Merlin and Xaro Xhoan Daxos from Game of Thrones. This pleases me.

  5. Arrow’s Huntress Is Going To Meet NBC’s Dracula This Fall

    I'll Allow It

Don't expect Jessica De Gouw's role on The CW's Arrow to become recurring anytime soon. The actress has been chosen to play Mina Harker in NBC's upcoming Dracula series starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers.
