Allow us to explain.

Sure. Fine. Whatever.

Here’s Our First Look at Once Upon a Time‘s Wicked Witch of the West

We knew that Lost‘s Rebecca Mader is going to be Once Upon a Time‘s new villainess after the show comes back from its mid-season hiatus, but now we know who she’ll play: The Wicked Witch of the West. Eeeeenteresting. Mader Tweeted the above pic of herself in costume. At first this may seem like an odd choice, because Oz isn’t Disney per se. But then again Disney did make Oz the Great and Powerful. And heck, this is a show that pulls from Frankenstein. Expand to Greek mythology and we’ll talk me giving you another shot, Once. Disney already has Hercules. I need Megara.

And Once continues it’s tradition of ridiculously ample cleavage.

Disney has had its hand on the Oz franchise for a LONG time. “Return to Oz”, anyone?

Oz was shown in the fairytale book back on the first day, so we knew it was coming eventually.

Once recently featured Medusa in one of their episodes, actually, so I guess they ALREADY expanded to Greek Mythology (maybe they had done it before but I can’t remember….).As for Mader and the Oz expansion, I can’t wait! But first I need to heal from last night’s episode and try not to die until March when OUAT comes back….

Once Upon A Time is going to ruin Oz, just like they ruined Wonderland and Neverland.

Ah, but Once HAS done Greek mythology. King Midas played a role in Prince Charming’s backstory in season 1.

I’m….not liking this shiny green makeup job. Like at all. It looks like a bad photoshop job to me. Have I just been spoiled by Wicked’s stage makeup?
