Olivia Munn Teaches the Internet How to Do Cool Sword Tricks She Learned as Psylocke

Recommended Videos

Olivia Munn has prepared extensively for her role as Psylocke in X-Men: Apocalypse, from speed-kick training to high-wire stunts. She’s also quite handy with a katana, as demonstrated in the IGN-hosted video above! After showing off her moves, she takes a moment to show everybody in slow-motion how to perform that characteristic sword swirling, which we’ve already seen her demonstrate recently against Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds. Now you can do it, too! If you have a sword lying around, of course.

Mostly, this video involves Olivia Munn negging the hosts, who can’t keep up with her humor-wise or sword-wise. The video starts out with one of the guys shouting “prove it” at her, in reference to her supposed sword skills, to which she responds with a sarcastic remark about how rude they are to their guests. Then she does prove her skills, and subsequently tries to teach the other guy how to do the trick, too. He fails on purpose — to be funny, of course.

See, the joke is that Olivia Munn is a gazillion times cooler than these guys. But also she actually is. So, no real joke there!
