Few images can conjure up my childhood faster than Thomas Taylor’s cover art for the Bloomsbury “children’s” edition of The Philosopher’s Stone (yes, it’ll always be Philosopher’s to me. That’s my Canadian showing). Now, in advance of the September 1st release of an edition with color illustrations, Bloomsbury has revealed new covers which capture all the wonder and nostalgia I associate with my first time reading the series. The art was created by Jonny Duddle (check out his super-fun blog!), and io9 reports that the books will include “highlights from the Pottermore website.” What do you guys think?
