Mulan/Hunger Games Mashup Lacks Swordplay; Is Still Pretty Clever

Okay, okay, I’ll admit that I was disappointed to see that a promised Hunger Games/Mulan video didn’t involve people’s heads getting chopped off. But it’s still clever, so you should watch it. And then speculate on which district each Disney Princess is from and how well they would do in the games.

If you only vaguely remember the song and it’s place in the movie, I’ve embedded the original below just for you.

    Let’s see…
    Ariel–> District 4, duh… but she’d lose due to lack of sponsors, because they honestly weren’t that impressed with her interview.

    Tiana–> District 11, since it’s implied to be in the South (although maybe not Louisiana…?). She’d probably make it into the final 8, at least, and she probably would manage not to starve.

    Pocahontas–> District 7; that’s the forestry one, right? She’d fall in love with one of the other tributes, then dart between him and the spear of one of the Careers, who would proceed to kill them both.

    Rapunzel–> District 8, I guess, since I think we see her sewing in her opening number. Her weapon is, of course, her frying pan, but she’s a little too trusting and probably gets betrayed and dies.

    I’ll come up with more later…

    The Disney Princess arena should automatically have the “partner with your counterpart for the win” clause built in. Mulan and Shang would almost certainly win but still…

    LOL; in that case, my money would be on Snow White; I think she had the most critters of any of them, though Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty definitely had their fair share. And she’d be from District 10, since I do believe they specialized in livestock, hence animals.

    Jasmine–> District 1, because although sure, they’re *all* princesses (except Mulan; what’s up with that, anyway?), she always seemed to be the most pampered by luxury. She’d die, and find a whole new world in the afterlife.

    Belle–> District 3, since her father (at least) is very much into inventing things, so it’s not much of a stretch to think he’d be quite interested in electronics were that field open to him. She might fall in love with one of the muttations, though.

    Cinderella–> District 6; if she can make a carriage out of a pumpkin, she rules transportation! Alas, her stylist would have problems getting her costume to stay on, and she’d die on the twelfth cannon.
