Khal Drogo Is The Werewolf Who Mounts The World [Trailer]

Game of Thrones Jason Momoa as a werewolf? I’d like to say, “I’m there,” but what is up with them ripping off the 80s Teen Wolf movie? Also, it kind of just looks like a terrible film. But Momoa does have some epic guyliner going on. It’s a tough call.

Oh, I’m going to selectively fast forward the hell out of this when it hits Netflix.

For what it’s worth, this is written and directed by David Hayter — screenwriter of X-Men/X2/Watchmen…but more importantly, the one and only voice of Solid Snake (screw you, Kiefer Sutherland).

I don’t have high hopes for this one. I love a good werewolf movie (see The Howling and Ginger Snaps), and it looks like the beginning is going for the whole lycanthropy as a metaphor for puberty, but then it looks like it goes down a stupid road from there.

io9 told me it was like CATS but with werewolves so I was very disappointed when the pack didn’t break out into song during the trailer.

So pretty… well, Momoa at least. I’ll watch it at rental. Cheesily bad – like Drive Angry

I had the same thought while watching it, “Is that supposed to be a werewolf or someone from Cats?”

I do like that they’re using mostly practical effects instead of CGI or just regular wolves.

I’d still like a musical werewolf movie. It’d be a cool way to do Sharp Teeth.

I prefer the old fashioned werewolves which look more like werewolves like in American Werewolf In London and Van Helsing. Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed The Wolfman the problem with this wolfman movie is its to much about teenage angst to me its just an off branch of the Twilight movies pretending to be horror.

I like when a movie hits the lycanthropy as a metaphor for puberty thing really hard, like Ginger Snaps. However, I agree with you about this looking more like supernatural teen romance than exploring the horrors of having your body change on you.

  • Silvermoonlight

I’ve seen Ginger Snaps and I loved how all three movies were about coming of age and werewolfism but each movie looked at it in a different way. I just don’t warm to supernatural teen romance, I just get bad images of all the topless werewolves (sorry correction shape shifters) in Twilight and how stupid the whole franchise was…and I hate how its now seeping in to other horror movies. If this movie had been done ten years ago it might have been a gory horror with a grown man or woman maybe fleeing from their partner because she/ he’d killed someone close to them by mistake in werewolf form…now its about a teenager whose clearly going to brilliant or special in some way…and will beat the older alpha male.
