Espionage Cosmetics Teams up with Bitch Planet and Sex Criminals for Amazing New Nail Art

“This isn’t about beauty. It’s about self-expression.”

We love the DeConnick/Fraction household something fierce here at TMS – just about as much as we love the fine folks at nerdy make-up line Espionage Cosmetics. So we are beyond stoked to announce that Espionage is teaming up with our favorite comic writers to bring you new Bitch Planet and Sex Criminals official nail wraps!

Available for pre-order today, the NAILED IT! wraps have the seal of approval from Bitch Planet co-creators Kelly Sue DeConnick and Valentine De Landro, and Sex Criminals co-creators Matt Fraction and Chip Zdarsky (whom we expect to be wearing these at every signing from here on out). You can pre-order the wraps online at www.espionagecosmetics.com or at a comic book store near you, and will start shipping July 1st.

The Bitch Planet nail-art comes in two different designs: “Non-Compliant,” in neon pink and black, and “Comic Panels,” with illustrations from the comic and a glow-in the dark overlay. The Sex Criminals nail-art features the “Quiet Effect,” with neon, glow-in-the-dark time-bending* waves (*may or may not actually distort time).

DeConnick reached out to Espionage about the collaboration herself, drawn to the company for their love of fandoms and their unique merchandise. “Kelly Sue and I admire the work Espionage does, and loved the idea of expanding the outreach of our titles through their products,” said Fraction. “Espionage connects to an audience woefully underserved by the boring old world of ‘comics merch’ — people like our readers. We’re excited to get our stuff into their hands — well, onto their hands, anyway.”

Espionage feels that Bitch Planet is a great fit for their company because the feminist comic is all about being non-compliant – women who live their lives outside of society’s rues. “We create products for people like us,” they said. “Recreational Users. Cosplay Creators. Self-proclaimed Artists or Amateurs… we believe there is no wrong way to wear make-up! Wear it for your fandom, your favorite color, your chosen style. Wear it to experiment. Wear make-up any way it makes YOU feel awesome.”

Go pre-order your NAILED IT! nail wraps now at Espionage Cosmetics!
