What an exceptionally sad list. The most positive article is that we have an actress playing Wonder Woman… as an appearance in someone else’s film. woohoo.

I’m not surprised. When most people see a positive article, they’ll read it, say “Oh, that was nice” and move on without commenting. But, with a negative article, a lot of people just can’t resist chiming in with their own take on it. And then, people comment on their comments, whole conversations gets started, fights break out, and so on and so forth.

Exactly, don’t feel too down about the list! It;s inevitable that the most talked-about topics will be ones that attract both negative as well as positive comments and spark debate. My memory of browsing through the Mary Sue’s front page is overwhelmingly of positive stories.

Truth. Frankly I’m very happy with the list, since these are all incredibly important topics.

Interesting list. FINALLY getting a new Wonder Woman was the most exciting story for me this year, and I still think the “Just let it happen” thing was stunningly blown out of proportion.

Slightly misleading, considering a lot of the comments posted regarding the Mighty No. 9 situation were filled with people mentioning that their legitimate concerns were being overshadowed by what a vocal minority of sexist scum were spouting :/

Exactly. This is the crap we HAVE to talk about.
