Wait what? Did this woman just get rewarded by MAGA for being openly racist?

You know what’s worse than being racist? Getting rewarded for it. While that may seem impossible on paper, it is exactly what has happened in a recent incident.

Currently, a video has been going viral on social media, especially on X (formerly Twitter), where a woman working at a Cinnabon stand is behaving in a racist manner toward a man and a woman. Details that have emerged in relation to the incident suggest that the victims of abuse were a Somali couple who had approached the counter to order food. As per reports, the employee featured in the video mocked the woman for wearing a hijab, which prompted the victims to start recording her. As the video goes on, the woman can be seen using racist slurs against the people filming and openly admitting to her racist views. Even when threatened with consequences, including the risk of being fired, she continues to make offensive comments, even giving them the middle finger.

Following the incident, it was announced that the worker was dismissed from her job; however, something extremely surprising, or rather shocking, came to light. It turned out that a Give Send Go fundraiser had been set up in her support, which, as of this moment, has raised over $20,000. It also came to light that most of the donors on the fundraiser were MAGA supporters, and if they didn’t fit that description, they were at least conservative.

The statistics are honestly not surprising, given how openly Donald Trump and his Republican Party have expressed their hatred towards non-white individuals. In the last few days, Trump has been particularly hostile towards Afghans and Somalis, even going so far as to demand their complete removal from the United States, especially from areas where they are most concentrated, like Minnesota.

People have a lot to say about the incident and what MAGA support for such an event signifies. They are sharing their opinions on various social media platforms like X. The general sentiment on the platform is that this behaviour is typical of those who align with the group’s ideologies and the Republican Party overall. Some believe that necessary actions must be taken to combat racism. Unfortunately, a portion of the audience is also demanding more evidence on the issue, as if the hate displayed in the video isn’t enough proof of the incident.
