Trump is special because, unlike others, he takes the ‘big’ aspirin, and apparently, that’s where his hand bruises are from

In the last couple of months, there has been significant debate over President Donald Trump’s well-being. While the signs of his declining health have been pretty much out there, his representatives, including White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, have repeatedly denied that Trump is sick. In case they haven’t figured it out yet, the more they try to convince people into believing that Trump is okay, the more they are swayed into believing that he is not. I mean, come on, they don’t even try to have a sincere look on their faces when delivering the lies.

Trump’s health has once again taken the spotlight in US politics. The reason? His recent confusing comments about his health. In a video shared by the official YouTube page of the White House on January 22, 2026, Trump, who is seen gaggling with the press aboard Air Force One while En Route to Joint Base Andrews, can be seen clarifying rumours surrounding the bruise marks on his hands. Instead, he didn’t really help his case; he just made things worse than they were.

When one of the reporters asked Trump about the visible bruising on his hand, Trump replied with a very prompt, “I am very good.” For a moment, it felt like he wouldn’t say anything else after that, or probably he would deflect by bringing up Biden somehow, but surprisingly, he didn’t, and that didn’t really end up working in his favour. Trump first said that the marks on his hand were from him clipping it on a table, and revealed that he had applied cream on it for it to heal, but then proceeded to give a whole speech about aspirin usage, which, if he simply clipped his hand and applied cream on it, isn’t really useful to the discussion. Anyways, he still blabbered about the topic and advised the reporter to take aspirin if she liked her heart, but recommended against it if she didn’t want to have a “little bruising.” He also claimed to have been taking “the big aspirin,” whatever that means and that it causes one to bruise. Additionally, he mentioned that the doctors have told him that he does not need to take the “big aspirin” because he is very healthy, but that he takes it anyway because he is “not taking any chances.”

Here’s his long rant about aspirin, in case anyone’s interested:

I take the big aspirin. When you take the big aspirin, they tell you that you bruise. The doctors said, “You don’t have to take that, sir. You are very healthy.” I said, “I’m not taking any chances.” That’s one of the side effects.”
