Trump clumsily sidesteps an Epstein question but not before shoving the ‘head of Harvard’ under the bus

Because if he’s going down, someone’s coming with him.

On Friday, the U.S. Department of Justice released a number of photographs and documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation in response to persistent public pressure. However, it was later found that they did not release all the materials available to them, thereby violating the deadline regulation that required them to publish everything by December 19, 2025.

On Friday, among the photographs that were made public, one of the key figures was former President Bill Clinton, who has had a controversial relationship with Donald Trump over the years. Are they friends, or are they not? Do they hate each other, or do they simply tolerate one another? These are some of the questions that have emerged regarding their relationship, or lack thereof, over the years. Given the controversial nature of their connection, it was only natural for the media to ask Trump to comment on Bill Clinton’s significant presence in the photographs released by the Department of Justice in connection with the Jeffrey Epstein case.

During a recent press interaction, likely held at Mar-a-Lago, a reporter asked Trump if he was “surprised” by the number of photos of Bill Clinton in the Epstein Files and whether he would commit to the “full release” of the Files by the end of the year, especially since many people were protesting the release of the files that contained numerous redactions.

In response, Trump acknowledged being aware of the public’s dissatisfaction, particularly among victims, regarding the handling of the Epstein case, stressing that the victims were disturbed by the images of “other people.” He then proceeded to discuss Bill Clinton, highlighting that he liked him and got along well with him. He also revealed that they had mutual affection for each other, suggesting that there was no bad blood between them. At one point, he even mentioned that he respected Clinton and that he disliked seeing his photos associated with the Epstein investigation, adding that everyone was “friendly” with Epstein. He also mentioned that Larry Summers, the head of Harvard, was Epstein’s best friend, along with Bill Clinton and others who crossed paths with him.

Reflecting on his own actions, Trump stated that he had thrown out Epstein from Mar-a-Lago. As videos of Trump discussing these points circulated on social media, many people noted how Trump skillfully deflected the question about his administration’s commitment to releasing the full Epstein Files by the end of the year and instead talked about topics that weren’t really asked of him, including the topic of Larry Summers.
