‘Time for your daytime nap’: Trump forgets about the tariffs he imposed and blames Biden for the sufferings of American farmers

By now, it has become known that whenever Donald Trump does not have the answers to certain questions, he tends to shift the blame onto former President Joe Biden and his administration. And guess what? He’s doing it all over again.
With rising trade tensions between the US and China ( thanks to Trump’s tariffs), China has decided to stop buying soybeans from the US. To make matters worse, China is now importing soybeans from Argentina, which managed to lower its tariffs after Trump lent them about 20 billion dollars to boost their economy. This means several US farmers who harvested their soybeans are now living without the promise of potential buyers, meaning all their hard work and investments are going to vain.

This situation has understandably sparked a lot of anger in the community, with many blaming President Trump for the mess (even some of his supporters). Trump has promised to assist farmers with a one-time investment, but most farmers feel this isn’t a sustainable solution and are pushing him to take more action.

Meanwhile, Trump seems to be in his own little bubble, acting like a kid who just got a taste of freedom. In a recent interview, he addressed the soybean farmer issue in a manner that only the least empathetic individuals could. Discussing a $50 billion trade deal he supposedly made with China, Trump mentioned:

“I want them to buy soybeans. They stopped buying our soybeans because they thought it was a punishment. And it is a punishment to our farmers. We’re not gonna allow that to happen.”

He also took a moment to point fingers at Biden (naturally) and claimed that he hadn’t put in as much effort as Trump did to resolve a crisis like this, adding:

“Do you think Biden lied awake at night thinking about China? He didn’t know what he was doing. He was an incompetent president. You don’t have that anymore.”

Trump’s remarks revealed he had embarrassed himself again, which became evident when video clips from the interview circulated on social media. On X (formerly Twitter), a user commented:

“Trump imposed tariffs. China retaliates by not buying US soybeans. US farmers are suffering.
And Trump’s response is to assert Joe Biden was an incompetent President. Grandpa, it’s impossible to follow your “logic.” Time for your daytime nap.”

Others also observed the foolishness in his remarks as he managed to attribute his actions to someone else.
