‘That doctor ripped me off’: Donald Trump praises Mamdani for his ‘shovelling’ efforts, but gets distracted mid-speech
Donald Trump feeds on validation. So when he was given a chance to brag about something he did for someone, he took it. However, he also had a complaint about it, and from the looks of it, it bothered him very, very much.
On February 20, 2026, United States President Donald Trump delivered his remarks. In a segment from his address that is going viral on social media, especially X (formerly Twitter), Trump briefly discussed New York mayor Zohran Mamdani and appreciated his efforts to keep people safe during snowfall. However, a few seconds into that conversation, he shifted focus to a woman seated in the audience, whose eye surgery he allegedly paid for. After dropping that random lore, Trump then complained that the bills were too high. A billionaire complaining about healthcare, something he once thought wasn’t interesting enough and probably still doesn’t. Sigh!!

On February 20, 2026, while addressing the nation, Trump brought up Zohran Mamdani and said that he was a “nice person”, but his ideologies were “not too good,” before going into great detail about him engaging New Yorkers in his “shovelling” efforts and sharing his thoughts on it. He said, “We’re having a massive snowstorm right now, and I heard that he’s asked people to come out and help shovel the snow. Okay, so you get a shovel, and you start shovelling, right? What the hell? You’re not gonna help too much, but you can help, and…”
Donald Trump gets distracted by a woman in the audience during his recent address
As mentioned previously, while speaking about Zohran Mamdani during his recent address, Donald Trump’s attention diverted to a woman sitting in the audience. He asked her if she was doing okay and if her eyes were okay. He then proceeded to tell everyone that he spent a “lot” of money on her eye surgery. However, what he said next shocked everyone, especially owing to its tone-deaf and hypocritical nature.
Trump, after learning that the woman was doing okay at present, said in front of all the people seated in front of him at the conference that the doctor who took care of her eyes ripped him off. But he’s a billionaire who doesn’t pay taxes and has made no efforts to fix the US healthcare system that continuously rips off common people. I guess the problem arises only when he is affected by it.
