Help Teal Sherer Make Another Season Of My Gimpy Life! [VIDEO]

This Exists... Because of A Lady

I already thought Teal Sherer was pretty cool before we met in person at GeekGirlCon last year. Most know her best from her role as Venom in The Guild but Sherer had ideas for her own web series and it was something a bit more personal. My Gimpy Life is a comedy based around her real experiences working in Hollywood as a performer with a disability. Season 1 was fantastic, had guest-stars like Felicia Day talking about sci-fi erotica, and won a bunch of awards and accolades. (Check out the entire first season of My Gimpy Life here.) The last we heard from Sherer was an adorable Charlie Brown-inspired holiday greeting but now she's looking to fund Season 2 of My Gimpy Life and needs your help! Take a look at her plea video then head on over to Kickstarter to pledge! Are you following The Mary Sue on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, & Google +?

Teal Sherer and Felicia Day Discuss Sci-Fi Erotica & More In the Most Recent Episode of My Gimpy Life

The Boob Tube

We've featured Teal Sherer and her webseries My Gimpy Life here before. That's because we think it's awesome. That holds true for this most recent episode, as well, in which Teal goes on a blind date and simultaneously discusses cat genitalia and other things with friend Felicia Day. It makes us even more curious about Day's Vaginal Fantasy reading club, which features "lady-leaning paranormal and historical adventure books." Call us hooked.

Teal Sherer And Felicia Day Discuss Vaginas In The Latest Episode Of My Gimpy Life [VIDEO]

This Exists... Because of A Lady

I finally got the opportunity to meet (and actually hang out with) actress Teal Sherer at GeekGirlCon this past weekend in Seattle and was delighted to find we got along just as well in person as online. Most of you probably know Sherer from her role as Venom on The Guild but she's recently branched out into her own comedic web series titled My Gimpy Life. It's loosely based on her own experiences as a disabled actress living in Los Angeles, and while I may be biased, it's pretty hilarious so far. The latest episode features her Guild co-star and real-life pal, Felicia Day, as they both audition for the same role. Having been on one disability panel with Sherer at GGC and watching her on another I can tell you she's got a great handle on how to educate while being funny and is unapologetic about showing what those of us hear from other people on a daily basis. There's some adult language in this episode, just as a warning. Hit the jump to watch episodes one and two if you haven't already.
