The United States Department of Homeland Security might be claiming that the ICE agent who brutally shot a woman in Minneapolis, Minnesota, acted in self-defence, while Donald Trump is trying to dub the victim a perpetrator and aggressor. However, none of the Americans believe any of these lies.

At least when clear evidence in the form of video footage is available on the internet for everyone to see. This evidence effectively proves that the officer was at fault, making him a murderer, and all those who protect him, including Trump, as enablers and murder apologists.

Donald Trump is trying hard to change the narrative about the recent Minneapolis shooting, where 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good was brutally shot in an incident that could have been completely avoided, and is attempting to blame Good for the outcome she faced at the hands of the ICE agent. However, people are seeing right through his fabrications.

One of Trump’s worst attempts to spin the story concerning the incident occurred on January 8, 2026, when he made a post on Truth Social stating that he had viewed video footage of the Minneapolis shooting and based on his observation, the woman recording the video was an “agitator” and the woman driving the car, who happens to be the victim, was “very disorderly” and was “obstructing and resisting” ICE intervention, after which she “violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer,” who then shot her in “self-defense.”

He also claimed that the officer who had been run over was admitted to a hospital and that it was a miracle he was alive; however, none of the videos available online show any agent being injured by Good’s car, even after videos were taken from multiple angles. Trump did not stop his insensitive rant there, as he also claimed that such incidents were a result of the Radical Left “threatening, assaulting, and targeting” America’s Law Enforcement Officers and ICE Agents “on a daily basis.”

Trump’s tone-deaf remarks sparked significant criticism from people all over America, including public figures. For example, Joe Keery, who portrays Steve Harrington on Stranger Things, took to his Instagram stories to share his perspective on the issue by posting a screenshot of Trump’s comments about the incident (his post from Truth Social) and wrote, “Zero Human Decency. Stop this Man.”

Singer/songwriter Finneas, who is famously Billie Eilish’s older brother, also shared a screenshot of Trump’s post about the incident and remarked, “Piece of s***.” Simu Liu, the star of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, also expressed his thoughts on social media (X account), writing, “beyond appalled at the murderous actions of ICE agents in Minneapolis.

Don’t be manipulated by rhetoric; there is a video, and it clearly shows the murder of an unarmed woman driving away. AWAY. immigration laws can be enforced in a dignified way. f ICE forever.” Among other celebrities who voiced their opinions on the incident and condemned Trump’s actions, both directly and indirectly, are Amanda Seyfried, Cynthia Nixon, Eva Longoria, Mark Ruffalo, Ayo Edebiri, Kerry Washington, Eric Andre, and others.
