‘So many people’: JD Vance isn’t hiding it anymore, as he promises a witch hunt against enemies
JD Vance is threatening action against Donald Trump’s enemies. Speaking to Fox News this Sunday while discussing the criminal prosecution of former FBI director James Comey, the current Vice President of the United States claimed that more indictments are on their way under Trump’s rule.
He said: “Well, there’s certainly gonna be more indictments coming over the next three and a half years of the Trump administration, but we’re always going to let the law drive this stuff, and the facts of the case, and not political motivations.”
He also drew parallels between the Trump and Biden governments, highlighting their differences. Suggesting that Biden’s government was politically motivated, Vance noted how they had indicted Trump and ” so many people” who were involved in “policy making.”
For the uninformed, Comey was indicted by a federal grand jury recently for lying under oath and obstruction of justice. He, however, has denied the accusations. This comes years after Trump and his supporters first started attacking him for allegedly leaking valuable intel. The information in question is regarding the purported Russian involvement during the 2016 US Presidential elections that saw Donald Trump win.
While it’s absurd that a politician is promising to charge individuals criminally, it is not surprising. Trump and his MAGA supporters have often employed deflection tactics, emphasising unnecessary details rather than more important issues. For instance, the United States is currently in a 37 trillion dollar debt. However, Trump refuses to acknowledge the situation. Not only that, he is investing additional resources in things that could further the existing amount.
Trump has made it his agenda to rid America of all those he does not like. Since his re-election, he has maintained a very radical anti-immigrant stance. More recently, he started working with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which has been conducting raids across the U.S. As part of the operations, officers are arresting undocumented immigrant individuals and deporting them. On the occasion of rebuttal, they are threatening the lives of the individuals and using physical force, causing resentment among many. While the entire process is a result of Trump’s obnoxiously prejudiced standpoint, to say the least, it is also not cost-effective, given the current condition of the U.S. finances.
