Shameless Kristi Noem is dubbing the recent Minnesota incident as an ‘act of domestic terrorism’ and shifting blame away from ICE

The whole nation is mourning the tragic loss of a 37-year-old woman in Minnesota, who was brutally shot and killed by an ICE agent on Wednesday. Her name was Renee Nicole Good, and her only offence was living in America, believing that the authorities were there to protect its citizens rather than harm them.

On Wednesday and Thursday, several videos began circulating on social media, showing the events that transpired during the Minnesota incident. These clips were recorded by individuals who were present and witnessed the incident firsthand. Multiple videos on the platform show ICE agents approaching a woman’s vehicle and trying to open her car door, and her attempting to escape. While one could argue that her fleeing was inappropriate, what followed was certainly not what she deserved as a consequence for her actions.

In a particularly tense moment captured on video, Renee Nicole Good can be seen trying to make a sharp right turn, her tyres angled in that direction. However, an ICE agent standing very close to the left side of the car, who would not have been harmed if the car moved forward, is seen lunging forward and firing multiple shots at her. Most of the shots were fired through her open window, with one also shot through her windshield. This caused the car to move a distance and collide with another vehicle parked on the left side of the road. All of this evidence is well-documented and available on social media, and the consensus is that the ICE agent could have chosen not to shoot and kill the woman, in which case he is a criminal and a murderer. Yet, the Department of Homeland Security appears indifferent to the details of the incident. Instead, it is focusing on shielding the agent who fired the shots that resulted in Renee Nicole Good’s death.

On January 7, 2026, the Department of Homeland Security took to their official X (formerly Twitter) shared a post about the incident referring to the deceased Renee Nicole Good as a “violent” rioter and stating that she had “weaponized” her vehicle against law enforcement personnel, attempting to run them over, which forced an ICE agent to fire “defensive shots” at her while trying to protect himself and other officers who could be impacted by her actions.

While people debated the authenticity of the department’s post, with many believing that they were trying to cover up the crimes of the ICE agent who killed Renee Nicole Good, United States Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, doubled down on the thoughts of the department she represents. During a press conference while she was in Texas to visit the border, she stated that the act that happened in Minnesota was an act of “domestic terrorism” and shifted all the blame to Renee Nicole Good. She said:

It was an act of domestic terrorism. What happened was our ICE officers were out in an enforcement action. They got stuck in the snow because of the adverse weather that is in Minneapolis. They were attempting to push out their vehicle, and a woman attacked them and those surrounding them, and attempted to run them over and ram them with her vehicle. An officer of ours acted quickly and defensively shot to protect himself and the people around him. And my understanding is that she was hit and is deceased.”
