Firefly, Stargate, Buffy and Pon Farr… in Cake Form

Recommended Videos

The world of bad cake decorating doesn’t usually overlap much with the world of geekdom.  So why do we keep a close eye on watch Cake Wrecks, the badly decorated cake blog?  Because every Sunday they showcase a bunch of really well decorated cakes, and frequently this is where the couple behind Cake Wrecks let their readers in on a little secret: they’re big geeks too.

This week they’re showcasing a bunch of television inspired cakes, and we’ve highlighted three more of our favorites below.

Here’s a small edible Stargate,

Buffy (Even featuring Mutant Enemy zombie)

and finally an adorable tribute to Amok Time, the episode that solidified my utterly teenage-fan-girl love for Mr. Spock.

For more, including Kermit, Alf, and Spongebob, and information on how to find the decorators behind the cakes, check out the full Sunday Sweets post at Cake Wrecks.

Instead she stumbled into a great job: founding and running this very website (she's Editor at Large now, very fancy). She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
