Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne standing in front of a light

Fret Not! Robert Pattison Says ‘Never Say Never’ About Doing Porn.

Thank GOD.

When it comes to weird things celebrities say, Robert Pattinson is on a whole different level. He goes into interviews, chooses to be the most outrageous person there, and then leaves and lets the internet try to figure out what was real and what was a lie from him. It’s our new favorite game.

From telling everyone the story of how he took a stalker out on a date because he was lonely to lying in interviews over and over again, the star of The Batman is truly a chaotic king. But many of us have known that throughout the years with our love for his work, from playing Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter series to Edward Cullen in Twilight and movies like Good Time and The Lighthouse.

The most chaos he’s probably caused, though, is when he said he’d probably do porn if The Batman flopped. So when the film did well, many of us were afraid of what that meant for the future of Pattinson’s porn career. Luckily for us all, the actor is still in on the joke and willing to consider taking the arthouse porn route. “Celebratory porno,” he joked, after saying “never say never” about the idea of doing porn when an interviewer raised the subject.

The question is clearly on the minds of fans. We realized what we did by making The Batman successful and second-guessed everything, because getting Robert Pattinson as sad boy Bruce Wayne is one thing, but arthouse porn RPattz is truly a next-level entry in his career. Luckily, we don’t have to choose either or.

It is lovely seeing Zoë Kravitz’s response, though, because it is clear that this is just how Robert Pattinson is—especially since she just says “WHAT?!” most of the time Pattinson says something outrageous.

All of this is just a great bit of information for our hopes and dreams—mainly in that we all went and saw The Batman and realized that it meant our RPattz porn dreams were dead. Now though, he’s clearly not saying no to this joke dream we all have. Or maybe this is another very real career move that Robert Pattinson is considering. Either way, I think we, as fans, win at the end of the day.

Pattinson porn potential

Do I think he’s being serious? Absolutely NOT. He lies. We know this. However, I would not put it past Pattinson to pick some kind of movie where he’s naked most the time or doing some outrageous sex scene like the one in which he slept with a mermaid in The Lighthouse. But I don’t think he’s being completely serious when he says he’ll do porn.

Then again, Pattinson has made a career out of surprising us all, so who knows what he’s actually going to do and what he’s willing to give to fans? So, flop or not, Robert Pattinson is still down to give us the arthouse porn we need. I guess … pun intended?
