Rep. Melanie Stansbury says Trump is ‘right at the center’ of the largest ’scandal’ in the history

On Tuesday, several members of Congress were given permission to view the unredacted versions of the Jeffrey Epstein files, as well as other documents that were released by the Department of Justice in relation to the case. While many people, including Democrat Representative RO Khanna and Republican Representative Thomas Massie, expressed dissatisfaction over what they saw, alleging the existence of significant redactions in the unredacted documents, some individuals, such as Representative Melanie Stansbury, were able to unearth some vital information about Donald Trump from the insiginificant amount of material that was made available.

Speaking to journalists after viewing the Epstein documents, Stansbury took aim at Donald Trump, stating that following the review of the partially unredacted Jeffrey Epstein files, she and the others who are now aware that there are “more than 3 dozen associates, family members, and individuals directly associated with Donald Trump named in those files.” Stansbury also highlighted that there are now “at least nine or ten other countries across the world” that have “opened investigations” or “forced their leaders to step down” due to their association with Jeffrey Epstein, irrespective of the nature of their relationship. She compared the actions taken by these countries in the Jeffrey Epstein case to those of the United States, which hadn’t done much and said that they are involved in an “active cover-up” of the “largest sex-trafficking scandal and influence peddling scandal” in the history of the country and that “Donald Trump is right at the centre of it.” Stansbury continued to express her frustration over the matter further, noting that Ghislaine Maxwell, who is perhaps one of the only people who is aware of everything surrounding the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, is continuing to plead the Fifth and refusing to answer any questions related to the case in order to “buy” clemency.

Ghislaine Maxwell pleading the Fifth has disappointed several people

If not all, many people ahead of Ghislaine Maxwell’s deposition on Monday were hoping to get some answers related to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation. However, unfortunately, while a lot of questions were asked of her in that relation, she refused to answer them and repeatedly invoked her Fifth Amendment rights. Following the unsatisfactory outcome of the deposition, Chair of Oversight Committee, James Comer, told reporters:

This is obviously very disappointing…We had many questions to ask about the crimes she and Epstein committed, as well as questions about potential co-conspirators. We sincerely want to get to the truth to the American people and justice for the survivors. That’s what this investigation is about.”
