Sunstone, Vol 4 w: Stejpan Sejic a: Stejpan Sejic p: Image Comics Sunstone is an amazing story of two women exploring a dominant/submissive relationship. It sheds light on the kink community while also creating lovely, nuanced (and geeky!) female characters. That, and the artwork is GORGEOUS. Check out the entire series if you haven't already! Star Wars: Chewbacca TPB w: Gerry Duggan a: Phil Noto p: Marvel Comics Frankly, any reason to follow Chewie around the universe is a good reason. So do yourself a favor and check out this trade paperback featuring everyone’s favorite fuzzball co-pilot. X-Men: Worst X-man Ever #1 w: Max Bemis a: Michael Walsh p: Marvel Comics Max Bemis, better known as a rock musician (of Say Anything and Saves the Day), also writes comic books from time to time — and this one, illustrated by Michael Walsh, is a Harry Potter-inspired story about a guy who ends up at Xavier’s school but doesn’t quite feel like he fits in there. Kill Your Boyfriend/Vinamarama Deluxe Ed HC w: Grant Morrison a: Philip Bond p: Vertigo Comics Kill Your Boyfriend is one of Morrison's most awesomely subversive stories, and with a radical female protagonist, no less. I haven't yet read Vinamarama , but the fact that it's about an Indian couple saving the world sounds pretty great to me! Now, you can read both stories in this new deluxe collection! The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl #5 w: Ryan North a: Erica Henderson p: Marvel Comics Ryan North does it again with yet another great issue of The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl . And come on, with a solicitation tidbit like this, what's not to love? "Fun fact: Besides adults literally fighting each other, this issue also features SEVERAL jokes!” Martian Manhunter, Vol. 1: The Epiphany TPB w: Rob Williams a: Eddy Barrows, Dan Panosian p: DC Comics Martian Manhunter is getting an even more far-reaching fan base thanks to CBS' Supergirl. Want to get to know this awesome character even better? This first volume of his newest solo title is a great place to start! Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur #4 w: Amy Reeder a: Natacha Bustos p: Marvel Comics We've been excitedly following Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur since it was first announced a while back. Now we're super excited to see them mash up with Amadeus Cho aka the freakin' Hulk! All-New All-Different Avengers #6 w: Mark Waid a: Madmud A. Asrar p: Marvel Comics We’ve reached the conclusive issue of this enjoyable but all-too-brief All-New, All-Different Avengers arc, featuring Ms. Marvel (and some other characters, I guess). It’s time for a twist ending, if the ominous plot description for this issue is any indication … ! Patsy Walker AKA Hellcat #3 w: Kate Leth a: Brittney Williams p: Marvel Comics Kate Leth is every bit of amazing as amazing can be. Same goes for her current run on Patsy Walker AKA Hellcat , and this issue should be no exception to that. Definitely check this series out if you haven't already. Spider-Verse (2015) TP w: Various a: Various p: Marvel Comics If you’re super-behind on which spider-powered heroes have been doing what this past year, this is the trade paperback for you, featuring issues from various Spidey spin-offs, including Spider-Woman . (No Spider-Gwen, though. Hmm.) [View All on One Page ]
